Fiery left-arm pacer Usman Shinwari was unlucky to miss out on selection for Pakistan’s 15-member World Cup squad. The 25-year-old has witnessed an upward trajectory in his burgeoning career thus far, claiming 28 scalps in 15 games at a marvelous average of 19.32.
The World Cup snub has not demotivated Shinwari, as he recently stated in an exclusive interview with Ciricingif that he is constantly working on maintaining high fitness standards.
His disciplined work ethic and fitness regime have often been the center of attention, receiving praise from bowling coach Azhar Mahmood.
Shinwari thus stated that he is ever ready to serve Pakistan cricket, and would be available on standby if any compatriot pacer suffers an injury during the long tail at the World Cup.
