The Australian cricket team rediscovered their solidity with the comeback of Steve Smith and David Warner in the national colours. Both players were lent one-year ban after the ball tampering incident in the 3rd match between Australia and South Africa in Cape Town last year.
The ban was expired last month and both Warner and Smith were called for the ICC World Cup 2019's campaign. The redemption phase of one year was a learning curve for the Aussie batsmen.
Smith and Warner joined the squad for the training session on 4th May 2019 in Brisbane. David Warner, with good form behind him, looked composed. On the other hand, Steve Smith had a jittery start in the nets but gained momentum gradually.
Australia will want both players to click at the right time. With just less than a month left before the mega-event kicks on, they don't have a lot of time to settle in. David Warner and Steve Smith will seek resurgence with some great batting display in the marquee event starting at the end of May 2019.
