Pakistan’s trouble in middle-overs continues

Pakistan faced England in the Only T20I at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff on the evening of 5th May 2019. Pakistan batted first in the high voltage game, with the early departure of Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq, Babar Azam and Haris Sohail laid the foundation with an amazing 103-run partnership.

But Pakistan owing to its trend, against lost the plot. The middle-order collapsed with a couple of run-outs. Pakistan was left short of 10-15 runs of the projected score and England came back strong in the last 5 overs or so.

Pakistan certainly has a few problems in the middle-order. The lack of power hitting at the depth has been another concern. Sarfraz Ahmad, not batting up the order, also raised few questions. The green team needs to cope with the prevailing crisis of middle-overs in order to be well prepared for the ICC World Cup 2019.
