Young batting prodigy Saif Badar grabbed everyone’s attention owing to a few elegant performances in the domestic circuit. Hailing from Sialkot, hometown of a lot of prominent cricketers from Pakistan, Saif’s batting stance has often been likened to that of veteran all-rounder Shoaib Malik.
Despite the promising talent of the 20-year-old, he was shockingly overlooked for selection by any franchise in this year’s Pakistan Super League (PSL). Nevertheless, the right-hander has moved past this disheartening moment, and is currently engaged in a sporting stint in England, participating in the Northern Premier Cricket League.
Excelling in the foreign conditions and polishing his skills with the bat, Saif has been in marvelous form across the tournament so far. Striking two half-centuries and a belligerent hundred in 4 games, Saif is thriving in the challenging circumstances, growing in confidence with each innings.
