The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) tried really hard to get all-rounder Jofra Archer into the top tier cricket but it did not become possible until visa regulations for overseas players were relaxed.
The Barbadian all-rounder made a fine ODI debut recently against Ireland and he has now received the T20I cap as well. Archer bowled beautifully against a top-quality batting lineup of Pakistan as he did not allow them to score freely during the T20 fixture.
On his T20I debut, Archer bowled with great pace with the new ball as he troubled the Pakistan batsmen with the short balls to good effect, ending up with figures of 2 for 29. Such decent performances from the pacer are a good sign for England as the side has been searching for a bowling all-rounder for quite a while now.
