Babar Azam’s run outs and Pakistan’s fate

The Pakistan cricket team has lost the one-off T20I against England in Cardiff after the host captain, Eoin Morgan, kept his nerve and drove his side to victory in a tense run chase, helping the blue shirts in winning by 7 wickets.

Pakistan failed to capitalize on the good start with the bat as the middle order crumbled as soon as Haris Sohail and Babar Azam left the crease. The number 1 T20I batsman was run out after a bizarre mix up with Asif Ali.

According to statistics, Babar Azam has been run out 7 times in limited overs cricket and his sides have lost all those games, reiterating the importance of his batting to a team’s cause. Babar’s run out on Sunday also proved to be the game changer as the latter batsmen found it tough to score runs on a pitch which was quite slow even with the grass cover.
