Pakistan’s left-arm spinner Imad Wasim has moved up to the second position in the latest MRF Tyres ICC T20I Player Rankings after exhibiting impressive performance against England in the one-off T20I match at Cardiff.
Imad bowled an impressive spell of one wicket for 25 runs in a losing cause, which helped him improve his ranking and leave behind his teammate Shadab Khan and Adil Rashid of England. The 30-year-old had also topped the rankings two years ago.
On the other hand, Babar Azam has strengthened his stronghold at the top of rankings and now has career-best 896 rating points after scoring 65 runs against England. Among other bowlers, left-arm speedster Shaheen Afridi also advanced in the rankings from 50th to 47th position.
