The Pakistan women’s cricket team has announced its arrival in South Africa in style as they thrashed the hosts in the opening ODI of the series by 8 wickets after bowling them out for the 2nd lowest total in South Africa women’s ODI history.
17-year-old Fatima Sana bowled beautifully at the start as she helped Sana Mir in sending half of the opposition to the pavilion within the first 10 overs. Even though the debutant bowled only 3 overs, it was her pace against the Proteas batswomen that impressed everyone.
After the match, Fatima said that it was a special feeling to represent her country for the first time and the support from her teammates and the management helped her play with ease. Furthermore, fans also congratulated the youngster on making such an impressive debut as it was a pleasant sight to see such a young female cricketer playing for Pakistan.
