The upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 would be an exciting event as top 10 ODI sides in the world would lock horns to get their hands on the prestigious trophy in England and Wales.
Former Australian Test cricketer Mark Waugh has given his two cents on the opening partnership dilemma of the Australian team as David Warner would be returning in the event to play along side in-form Usman Khawaja and Aaron Finch.
“I would definitely have him Warner opening. He is the number one opener in my opinion, so he has got to open with Finch. He is the most dangerous when the field is up and the field restrictions are in place and he can get the team off to a flyer," he said about Warner.
However, he still feels that the management would need to be smart in the tournament and use both the openers, Khawaja and Warner, with careful thought.
