The tenure of Mickey Arthur as coach of the Pakistan side has lifted the team’s traditionally poor standards of fielding. Making immense progress in this significant department of the game, Pakistan’s newfound quality in fielding has however taken a hit in recent encounters.
Fielding lapses and erroneous running between the wickets cost the visitors badly in the on-off T20I against England. This alarming issue has been addressed by skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed as well, who vowed to put on a better show on the field with the World Cup right around the corner.
Sarfaraz admitted to a declining quality of fielding and agreed that it is a crucial aspect to winning games. He related that the team management is primarily focused on sorting out the issues and resolving this problem as soon as possible.
