In the Eliminator of the Indian Premier League (IPL) edition 4, the Delhi Capitals broke their playoffs hoodoo with a fantastic victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Batting first, the Sunrisers scored 162 with contributions from Guptill (36), Manish Pandey (30) and Kane Williamson (28). However, the Delhi's chase was all about Rishabh Pant who scored a scintillating 49 off 21. Young Prithvi Shaw also scored 56 batting at the top of the order.
Delhi needed 5 off the last over when Pant got out and Keemo Paul scored a boundary towards midwicket to seal the victory for the Capitals. It was a proud moment for young Shreyas Iyer & his team as he became the first captain in the history of the Delhi franchise to have won a knockout game.
There are many experienced & star players in the Delhi franchise but Shreyas Iyer has overshadowed all of them with his brilliant captaincy.
