English bowling all-rounder Jofra Archer continues to be a red hot topic as voices for his inclusion in the World Cup squad of England are gaining momentum. The latest man to join the club is the former England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff who opined that the Barbados born should play the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament.
Last two outings of Jofra Archer reaped fruits as he displayed his prowess against a top-class opposition like Pakistan. This, along with a consistent and strong run in domestic games including the Indian Premier League (IPL), made the Lancashire born believe that the 24-year old has what it takes to shine at the biggest stage of the game.
Sharing his views on the enterprising player, Flintoff added that Archer has a plethora of tricks to deceive the batters. The 41-year old also highlighted the handy batting skills of Archer which further augments his chances of playing the mega-event. Moreover, Flintoff is ready to drop anyone to accommodate a player of Archer’s caliber.
After the five-game ODI series against Pakistan, England’s World Cup campaign will begin on May 30 against South Africa.
