Like all the other teams, Afghanistan would step into the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament with hope of stealing the thunder of the competition. One of the biggest strengths of the Afghan squad is their deadly spin trio which consists of Rashid Khan, Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Mohammad Nabi.

Recently, Mujeeb Ur Rahman was found reflecting on World Cup prospects of his team as he is hopeful to have a better World Cup campaign compared to the last edition of the tournament.

Sharing massive ambitions about the forthcoming mega-event, the 18-year-old added that his team is aiming to deliver a strong show and book a semi-final berth.

The spin wizard truly understands the toughness of the competition as he stressed on the ability to deliver consistently in a long tournament.

Moreover, the Kosht born revealed that he picked many lessons from veteran Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin while playing for Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Afghanistan’s World Cup campaign will commence on June 1 against defending champions Australia.
