Recently, former Pakistan leg-spinner Mushtaq Ahmed reflected on the matter as he believes that not having Shadab Khan in the squad is denting Pakistan. Showering heaps of praise on the 20-year old cricketer, the Sahiwal born hoped to witness Shadab recovering quickly from his disease. Moreover, the 48-year old believes that others will have to step up in the absence of a regular wicket-taker.
Reflecting on the matter, Mushtaq Ahmed added, “Shadab’s absence is a massive blow to Pakistan. He’s such a great cricketer and I am praying for his recovery. He is a wicket-taker for Pakistan who aided us in middle overs of the game. With his all-round ability, Shadab brings fantastic energy to this side.”
