After the commencement of the tri-series against Bangladesh and West Indies, Ireland will be witnessed battling Afghanistan in a two-game ODI series. First game is set to take place on May 19 while the second will be played on May 21. Venue for both the scheduled ODIs is Belfast.
Cricket Ireland has portrayed a fantastic gesture towards the young generation as the admission to both the games remains free for children aged under 16. This surely comes as a fantastic move to build the needed interest and fascination for the game in the younger population of the country.
Unfortunately, Ireland won’t be participating in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament but the games will aid Afghanistan to prepare for the forthcoming mega-event which is set to get underway from May 30 in England and Wales. Knowing the history between the two teams, fans expect the short series to produce two thrilling contests.
