In yet another fresh controversy, Shahid Afridi’s autobiography ‘Game Changer’ caused a storm on social media with reports emerging that he had opted to exclude Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar from his all-time XI lists.
This rumor has been busted by the explosive all-rounder, who accused the media of spreading ‘fake news’ as he had in fact included Tendulkar in both his all-time XI lists for a combined India and Pakistan and overall. Releasing excerpts from his book, Afridi shared evidence of his picks for the 11 players.
News had been ripe with Afridi omitting Tendulkar from his lists, but he dispelled this notion aptly. Lavishing praise on the Indian legend, Afridi called him as someone who could stabilize any middle order and also transition as an opener.
Meanwhile, the 39-year-old also selected Virat Kohli in both his lists, the only other Indian player to feature in his all-time World XI list.
