Rashid reveals plan against Kohli for WC clash

Afghanistan’s premier spin bowler, Rashid Khan will at the center stage for his side in the upcoming World Cup in England and Wales. Fresh from an Indian Premier League (IPL) stint, Rashid said that he is looking forward to battling it out with India’s skipper Virat Kohli on June 22, when the two teams clash.

The young bowler expressed his resolve in putting up a brilliant show against India and declared his hopes in ultimately dismissing India’s key player. When asked about how he would go about trying to get Kohli out, Rashid admitted that the star batsman had no weak points that the opposition could exploit and thus would have to stick to the basics.

“There is no shot that he [Kohli] can’t play and I haven’t seen a weak point as such. He has been the most consistent batsman in the last few years. Being a spinner, I just need to ensure that every delivery is a good one, that’s the only plan you can have against him,” Rashid claimed in an interview.
