Fakhar Zaman entered England carrying happy memories of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 event. Scoring heavily in the practice games, the blistering batter failed in the first ODI against England. However, he recorded a sensational comeback by smashing a hundred in the 2nd ODI played at Southampton.
To his dismay, Fakhar wasn’t able to end up on the winning side. Nevertheless, the Mardan born produced an iconic batting effort consisting of 138 runs. The consequentiality of the knock moved many to admire his skills and one of them was former English captain Nasser Hussain who showered heaps of praise on the attacking batsman.
Sharing his views on Fakhar Zaman’s batting, the cricketer turned commentator added that Fakhar is different to other Pakistani batsmen as he changes gears as per the need of the game. The Chennai born, while commentating on the game, added that the 29-year old sits as an extremely important player not just for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament but also for the future of Pakistan Cricket.
