Pakistan bowlers were taken to the cleaners in the second ODI of the 5-match series against England, being punished for over 370 runs on the board. This run-fest has cast a negative light on the visitor’s bowling lineup, which has traditionally been rated very highly.
However, captain Sarfaraz Ahmed feels his bowlers have the ability to overcome the strongest of batsmen in difficult circumstances. He declared his confidence in the bowling resources and vowed to come back in a grander fashion in the remainder of the series.
“I know our bowlers were not up to the mark but they have the strength to beat world’s strong batting lines,” the Pakistan skipper recently stated. Given the flat nature of the surfaces prepared in England, it is thus increasingly important for the bowlers to contain opposing batting lineups.
