Highlights: Fizz eyes honing skills ahead of World Cup

While the form of paceman Mustafizur Rahman was giving Bangladesh a major headache, the fruitful outing against West Indies came as a sigh of relief. Delivering a strong bowling performance, the uncanny cricketer claimed 4 wickets after conceding 43 runs against West Indies.

As expected, the impressive performance helped Bangladesh register another victory against West Indies. After experiencing a rough day against the same opposition few days earlier, the 23-year old was ecstatic to find form ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 event.

Sharing his plans for the forthcoming mega-event, Fizz revealed that he is working extremely hard to improve his bowling arsenal as the 10-team tournament is expected to produce true batting surfaces. The Satkhira born added that since the opponents are now aware of his tricks, he needs to do more than usual to trouble them.

For this reason, he is aiming to be in best shape for the 50-over competition which is scheduled to get underway from May 30 in England and Wales. Bangladesh’s World Cup journey will begin against a strong team like South Africa on June 2.
