Pakistan’s out-of-favour batsman Fawad Alam has sent best wishes to the Pakistan team ahead of the ICC World Cup and has hoped that the players will perform better this time around as they are very much familiar with the conditions of England and Wales.
The left-hander despite having loads of runs at the domestic level is yet to break into the national team again. He hasn’t represented Pakistan since April 2015 but instead of being bitter he did not regret the fact that he was not picked.
“I am not disappointed. These all are players representing Pakistan. My prayers and best wishes are with them that they do well and bring glory to Pakistan. I will play when it is in my fate but, right now, my support is with players who are picked for the tournament,” he said.
