England seems to be in great shape ahead of the ICC’s mega-event as they continue to dominate Pakistan in the ongoing ODI series at their backyard. In the third ODI, England chased down a big total of 359 runs in just 45 overs without their batsmen breaking a sweat.
Performances like these are a massive morale booster just before the start of the World Cup. The England skipper Eoin Morgan was pleased for his team after they secured their second highest successful run-chase.
"When guys perform like this, it builds confidence within the changing room," he said. "With regards to looking ahead, that is a really positive thing for our group," Morgan said.
The skipper also hinted that there could be more changes and rotations in the last two ODIs, now that the series has already been won, fast-bowler Mark Wood and spinner Joe Denly might get a chance in the last two ODIs.
