The Indian cricket team is bound to leave for England in the next couple of days as players are currently on a break after a hectic season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). All the players in the squad are completely fit and ready to participate in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 except Kedar Jadhav.
The all-rounder’s availability for the upcoming tournament is still not confirmed as he is yet to recover from the shoulder injury which he sustained during the IPL fixture against the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP).
According to several Indian media reports, Jadhav would not be able to get fit in time for the World Cup which would open the door for young Rishabh Pant as he was previously sidelined due to his inexperience.
Even if Pant gets selected for the tournament, team India would have a big challenge ahead as the team combination would be disturbed after losing a regular middle-order batsman who could bowl a few overs too.
