Recently, Pakistan’s belligerent batsman Imran Nazir found time to review the World Cup hopes of Pakistan. The crowd favorite who is currently participating in a local T20 tournament opined that the green shirts can surprise everyone and produce a strong show in the 10-team competition starting from May 30 in England and Wales.
Highlighting the need of bowling with discipline on batting friendly English wickets, the Gujranwala born added that Pakistan would rely heavily on the top-order’s batting prowess as they set the tone of the game. Moreover, the 37-year old also believes that the boys in green should carry a bowler of Mohammad Amir’s caliber in their squad. Pakistan’s World Cup campaign will be commencing against West Indies on May 31 at Trent Bridge.
