Ajmal refutes Afridi's allegations of mutiny

Spin wizard Saeed Ajmal reacted strongly to all the rumors surrounding former all-rounder Shahid Afridi’s allegations against him in the autobiographical book ‘Game Changer’. Talking to the media, Ajmal refuted any insinuations in the book that pointed out his role in trying to dethrone Younis Khan as captain of the side in 2009.

Ajmal vehemently defended himself as he claimed that Afridi’s memoir ‘Game Changer’ contains baseless allegations against former players. He added that he is being ridiculously accused of being involved in a coup against then-captain Younis Khan during the ICC Champions Trophy 2009, despite being a junior player at the time.

Ajmal said that he would prefer not to go into the details of past incidents as he respected his senior players. While Afridi’s book did not directly state anyone’s name, he mentioned the breakdown of relations and politics being played in the dressing room during the time Younis lead the side.
