Pakistan continued their dream run in the first-ever Wheelchair T20 Asia Cup as the boys in green humbled arch-rivals India to win the maiden edition of the tournament. After thumping Nepal by 130 runs in the group stage of the competition, the green shirts were carrying immense confidence and they used it extremely well to defeat the unbeaten team of the tournament.

In an epic thriller played at Kathmandu, men in blue batted first and posted a gigantic total of 212 runs on the board. While it looked a tough nut to crack, Mohammad Latif’s belligerence took care of the run-chase under tremendous pressure. The proficient batsman smashed 152 consuming only 62 balls to register a scintillating victory for Pakistan in the 4-team tournament.
Without any surprises, Mohammad Latif claimed the player of the match award for his sublime innings. Expressing his jubilation, Latif added that he wanted to score big against India and went on to dedicate the victory to the people of Pakistan.
