Lahore Qalandars have been the worst performing franchise in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) across all 4 seasons. Always finishing last in the points table, luck has not favored Qalandars’ side one bit as their fans continue to be deprived of any moment of success.
Taking into perspective the plight of Qalandars, their left-handed opening batsman Fakhar Zaman recently poked fun at the dwindling fortunes of the Lahore-based franchise. Engaged in a candid chat with fellow teammates Babar Azam and Sarfaraz Ahmed, Fakhar offered Qalandars’ leadership role to Sarfaraz.
“The team won the U-19 World Cup in your captaincy, also the Champions Trophy and the PSL. I suggest you to come to Lahore Qalandars,” Fakhar remarked to Sarfaraz as the duo burst into laughter following this statement.
