The upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 would mark the return of former Australian captain and vice-captain, Steve Smith and David Warner, as the inexperienced side would look towards them for guidance in their title defence.
English all-rounder Moeen Ali has urged his countrymen to not get personal with the two players as he believes that Smith and Warner should be treated decently as they have paid for the mistakes they made in the past.
“I really hope they don't get too much stick. I want them to enjoy the series. If you have to, keep it funny, not personal. We all make mistakes. We are human beings and we have feelings. I know deep down they are probably really good people. I just hope they get treated decently. I just want the cricket to be spoken about.,” he said.
