Recent series against England proved to be a dreadful affair for Pakistan as the tourists lost all the completed ODI games. To make the picture even more gloomy, green shirts were whitewashed by Australia earlier in the five-game ODI series and the unit would step into the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament losing a plethora of games.
Sharing his views after the series, Pakistan’s skipper and wicket-keeper batsman Sarfaraz Ahmed added that he is trying to yield positives from all the defeats. In addition to that, the 31-year old cricketer urged Pakistan fans to brace the unit as he promised to record a strong comeback in the 10-team tournament starting from May 30 in England and Wales.
“I would like to congratulate the English team for producing sensational performances. That’s not an ideal way to go into the World Cup, but I am confident about my unit. My message to all the fans of Pakistan is to back us as it lifts our morale and aid us in doing better,” said by the captain of Pakistan as he eyes a comeback in the forthcoming mega-event.
