Pakistan’s middle-order batsman, Asif Ali was hit by a big personal loss as his 2-year-old daughter lost the battle with stage-IV cancer. Noor Fatima had been bravely battling stage four cancer as revealed by Asif Ali in April. The family took the two-year-old to America for treatment, but she finally lost her fight this weekend.
Asif has shown remarkable mental strength and professionalism during the last few months and hasn’t shown any signs of nerves when in fact he was dealing with the huge crisis in his life. The 27-year-old has been named in Pakistan's squad for the upcoming World but can be forgiven for having his mind away from the cricket pitch.
While the news was already out of his little angle demise, Asif also confirmed the heartbreaking news on his Twitter later on. The grieved father thanked everyone who supported him during the tough time he has gone through and prayed that may Allah grant her daughter a place in Jannah.
