After Pakistan’s horrid performance against England in the recently concluded series, coach Mickey Arthur lambasted his team’s fielding performance saying it worries him. Arthur felt the standard of fielding was the key difference between the sides in the five-match ODI series between England and Pakistan.
“The one difference has been the fielding and that’s a worry for me because we’re putting a hell of a lot into it and there’s not a massive amount of reward for us at the moment. It’s something that hasn’t gone unnoticed, we’re disappointed about and we need to do some work on that for sure,” Mickey said.
The Pakistan head coach was, however, happy with the way the batters performed against the number one ranked ODI side and despite the humiliating series loss, the 51-year-old insisted that he was confident that his side will perform well in the World Cup.
