The Indian cricket team has departed for England with high hopes of bringing the trophy home for the 3rd time in cricket history under the leadership of a captain who is not going to let his team hold back in the mega event.
Before his departure, Kohli held a joint press conference with head coach Ravi Shastri in which they discussed team India’s preparation for the event along with the recent changes in the squad.
Kohli has called the two young spinners, Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal, as the most important bowlers in the line up as they lead the way for others. He also threw full support behind Kuldeep as he feels that the chinaman would make a strong comeback in the World Cup.
“We are glad that it happened in the IPL rather than during the World Cup. So, he had time to reflect and correct things and come into World Cup even stronger. We know the kind of skill set he possesses alongside Chahal. They are two pillars of our bowling line up,” he said.
