Fast-bowler, Wahab Riaz got an unexpected call-up for the ICC World Cup in the final squad. the left-arm speedster had played his last ODI match for Pakistan in June 2017. However, the recent lacklustre performance from a few bowlers made Wahab’s inclusion possible.
Wahab pointed out that current Pakistani bowling attack lacks aggression and without any aggression, Pakistan’s bowlers will be dominated by the opposition batsmen during the event. He believes to bring that aggression back in the team.
"Pakistan as a team needs aggression. We have seen that there is batting paradise, as a bowler if you are not aggressive the batsman will dominate you.” Wahab Riaz stressed that in the present conditions in England, variations especially yorkers were required in the death overs.
