Pakistan women’s star all-rounder Nida Dar has stormed into record books after a blazing innings against South Africa in the 4th T20I of the 5-match series. Unleashing attacking stroke play, the 32-year-old punished the Proteas bowling lineup as she marched her way towards the second-fastest fifty in women’s cricket.
Reaching the milestone in just 20 deliveries, Nida struck 3 sixes in her extravagant knock. Coming in to bat at a crisis situation, Nida ultimately departed for a brutal 37-ball 75 helping her side to a competitive total. Her individual score of 75 is now the highest ever score achieved by a Pakistani in women’s T20Is, beating Javeria Khan’s 74 not out.
Despite Nida’s dazzling innings, the visitors were let down by an ordinary bowling performance in the second innings. South Africa managed to mount the target of 173 in the final over, winning by 4 wickets.
