Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed is supremely confident in the abilities of his troops to put up a valiant performance in the upcoming World Cup. Although Pakistan were recently defeated by England 4-0 in the 5-match series, Sarfaraz believes these matches were a good learning experience for his side to acclimatize to the English conditions.
“We won 1992 World Cup, Champions Trophy here. We have come here to prove ourselves in another challenge. We have learnt a lot in the recent England series,” he said to the media.
Sarfaraz focused on the quality of his fast bowling department in particular. Speaking highly of the pace bowling depth in the squad, the wicketkeeper-batsman remarked that they were ready to trouble opposition’s batting lineups.
