Sachin urges team India to step up in World Cup

The Indian cricket team relies quite heavily on the batting prowess of skipper Virat Kohli as he does most of the scoring for the team in all formats which is why he is said to be the backbone of his team.

Former Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar has urged the whole Indian team to step up and support their captain in the World Cup this year as he could do not win the tournament single handedly.

“I think you will always have a couple of individuals stepping up every game but without team support, you can't do much. Just because of one individual, you can't win a tournament. No way. Unless, others chip in at every crucial stage. If that doesn't happen, there will be disappointment,” he said.

Tendulkar has also thrown support behind the Indian spinners, Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav, who he feels would still cause problems to the batsmen even though they have been read by other teams.
