Mohammad Sami positive about Pakistan’s World Cup journey

The buildup to Pakistan’s World Cup journey is shoddy to say the least as the green shirts have been defeated in their last 10 completed ODIs. Getting humbled by quality sides like Australia and England, life isn’t going to get any easier in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament as stern tests await the boys in green.

However, many cricket pundits have advised the Pakistani players to move on and focus on doing well in the forthcoming mega-event. Mohammad Sami, one of the fastest pacers of the country, believes that Pakistan would raise the bar of their game and will reach the semi-finals of the competition.

For that, the 38-year old has urged the green team to play an aggressive brand of cricket which should be complemented with consistency because of the 10-team tournament carrying a tough format.

“Only time can tell whether Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Amir’s inclusion is right or wrong. However, I believe that Pakistan would make it to the top four of the competition. The format of the World Cup is demanding so consistency will be key,” shared by Karachi born while giving an interview to a private channel.
