Few eyebrows were raised when Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) selection committee, named Mohammad Amir in the final World Cup squad despite being missed out an important series against England due to illness.
Whether the left-arm pacer, able to get his lost form back in the World Cup is remained to be seen. However, Former England batsman and renowned commentator David Lloyd is backing Pakistan left-arm seamer, Mohammad Amir, to “get his mojo back” during the World Cup.
Lloyd acknowledged the fact that Amir has gone through a rough patch, but he believes it is possible the 27-year-old will return to his very best during the World Cup.
“When it comes to Mohammad Amir, it is quite possible that [he] may get his mojo back. He’s, after all, a quality bowler so I’d expect him to raise his game for the World Cup,” Lloyd said.
