England team is one of the most favourite team to lift this year’s ICC World Cup and while most the of pundits are calling it as the best chance England will ever get to win their maiden World Cup. The Morgan led-side has been on a roll recently as they demolished Pakistan 4-0 and piled on over 1,400 runs with the bat over four games, whilst the last-minute inclusion of Jofra Archer has added another string to their bowling bow.
Since the 2015 World Cup, England have won 58 out of their 88 matches, making them the winningest team in the interim four-year period. The England Test captain, Joe Root wants to keep the same momentum going into the mega-event.
"I'd like to think that the way that we've improved over this four-year cycle, we are probably ahead of where we thought we would be at this stage. We've worked really hard to deserve the tag of the No.1-ranked team going into the tournament; I think we should enjoy that. We should get a lot of confidence from that and really embrace that and enjoy what we've been doing and take it forward into the games,” Root said.
