Ajinkya Rahane has been left out of the World Cup squad and the Indian middle-order batsman has made a prolific start to his county career. Rahane scored a glorious hundred for Hampshire in his very first match. He was in supreme form throughout his innings and he played some wonderful strokes as well.
Ajinkya also became only the third batsman from India to have scored a hundred on his county debut besides Murali Vijay and Piyush Chawla.
Rahane founded a significant partnership of 257 runs with his captain Sam Northeast. Rahane may not be performing well in the white-ball cricket but he continues to thrive in the red-ball cricket.
