Pakistan’s bowling was demolished at the hands of a fiery performance from the English batsmen throughout the 5-match ODI series. Despite the disappointing scoreline at the end of the series, Pakistan’s bowling coach Azhar Mahmood believes that his boys are making progress ahead of the World Cup.
“Now they are more disciplined, more consistent and more skilled. So, that shows the boys are putting in the hard yards and they know how to bowl in these conditions. Assessing these conditions and bowling to these lines is very important when you come to England, than in the subcontinent,” Mahmood claimed.
Commenting upon the chances of Pakistan in the World Cup, Mahmood opined that fast bowling will be the key to Pakistan’s chances at the showpiece event and optimistically predicted a good show by the team, which could translate into a trophy win.
