Peter Borren takes a jibe at the ICC

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has received a lot of criticism for limiting the number of teams in world events and the brilliant performances by several associate teams have also weakened the council’s stance.

The upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup would only feature the top 10 ODI sides of the world and it would be the first time in years that only 10 teams would compete for the title as the likes of United Arab Emirates (UAE), Zimbabwe, Hong Kong, Ireland, Scotland and others have participated in the tournament previously.

Former captain of the Netherlands side, Peter Borren recently took a jibe at the ICC for not allowing more team in the world event as he posted a taunting comment of the photo of captains who would lead their sides in the World Cup. He said that the picture would have been a lot nicer had it included Rohan Mustafa, Graeme Cremer, William Porterfield, Kyle Coetzer, Babar Hayat, Pieter Seelaar and Paras Khadka, the captains of associate teams.
