Kumar Sangakkara scrutinizes Pakistan’s World Cup hopes

There’s no denying the fact that Pakistan has lost its last 10 completed ODIs before the commencement of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament. To exacerbate the situation, they were defeated at the hands of Afghanistan in their first warm-up game. However, cricket enthusiasts are still not ready to write Pakistan off as they believe that green shirts carry a potent squad which can trouble any side of the mega-event.

Ahead of the forthcoming cricket gala, cricket pundits have been found warning teams against the Pakistan challenge. Recent man to join the list is former Sri Lankan captain Kumar Sangakkara who opined that the boys in green cannot be taken lightly when it comes to playing major tournaments.

Reviewing Pakistan’s World Cup campaign, the 41-year old pinpointed the ability of this country to raise the bar of their performances in such events which presents a major threat to other teams of the competition. The enterprising fellow didn’t shy away from admitting the loopholes of the green shirts but added that if Pakistan reaches the final-four stage of the competition than they can go on to win the tournament.
