The historic rivalry and the recent escalated political tensions between Pakistan and India have cast doubts on their scheduled match in the imminent World Cup 2019. While many former Indian players called upon the BCCI to forfeit the match, however, Indian captain Virat Kohli has an open stance on the matter.
Kohli has said that the decision about playing with Pakistan solely rests with the BCCI and he does not have any personal opinion in this regard. The Indian skipper admitted that every India-Pakistan clash is a much-anticipated clash but said that players treat it like just any other game.
The two sides no longer play each other in bilateral series and the ICC tournaments remain the only way for fans to catch a glimpse of the two rival teams in action. The cricketing giants will lock horns on 16th June at Manchester.
