Twitter slams Sarfaraz's captaincy

Pakistan is unable to find their winning ways as they lost yet another ODI match, this time against a spirited Afghanistan team in the warm-up match of the ICC World Cup 2019. Chasing a modest total of just 262 runs, Afghanistan openers started with an aggressive manner.

Hazratullah Zazai took Shaheen Afridi to task, scorching five boundaries off one over from the teenager which drastically dropped the required rate for Afghanistan. Pakistani spinners tied up the flow of runs in the middle overs along with Wahab Riaz’s quick reverse swing also resulted in a couple of quick wickets.

The match was interestingly balanced till the 49th over, with Afghanistan needing 14 runs off 12 balls. At this moment, captain Sarfaraz took a drastic decision to hand over the ball to Shadab Khan to bowl the crucial penultimate over. Shadab conceded 10 runs in his over leaving an easy task for Afghanistan in the final over.

The Twitter fans were quick to realize this and lashed out at Sarfaraz for giving Shadab a crucial over instead of giving Mohammad Hasnain who was bowling well and would have favoured with reverse swing conditions.
