Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi has criticized fast bowler, Junaid Khan’s cryptic protest over his snub from the Pakistan squad for the International Cricket Council (ICC) 2019 World Cup. Junaid posted an obscure message on Twitter that featured a picture of himself with tape over his mouth after he was removed from the World Cup squad.
Afridi said that Junaid should have not reacted the way he did on social media. “It is logical to feel disappointed over being dropped, however, Junaid should have controlled his emotions and not protested by posting a picture. Team management should have handled this matter properly,” Afridi said.
The left-arm pacer, Junaid was dropped from the final World Cup squad along with all-rounder, Faheem Ashraf and opening batsman, Abid Ali. While, senior fast-bowler, Wahab Riaz was called up to fill in the gap.
