Pakistan’s most successful Test captain Misbah-ul-Haq and controversial cricketer Salman Butt are among 13 Pakistan players who are participating in the 4-day Level-2 Coach Education Course at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore.
Other prominent cricketers taking part in the course include Saeed Ajmal, Umar Gul, Ahmed Shehzad and Aizaz Cheema. The course in particular focuses on familiarizing the players with application of video analysis and biomechanics in the field of coaching.
Aimed at providing them quality training regarding teaching budding cricketers, the education program also looks at the minor details. This is overall seen as a positive development as young coaches are generally required to bridge the gap with the newer generation of cricketers.
