Pakistani fast bowler Mohammad Amir was included in the squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 even though he was not able to play a single game in the England series in order to make it to the final squad as he was previously left out.
The pacer would be needed by the green shirts in the coming weeks as his experience and skills would be put to test against some of the best sides in the world. Former Pakistani speedster Waqar Younis still believes that Amir could make an impact in the World Cup this year.
“The bowling is moving in a good direction, with Wahab Riaz coming back into the side and Mohammad Amir restored. I am intrigued to see how Mohammad Amir gets on. He is a match-winner, there is no doubt about that. If he gets some rhythm back, then he could be the difference for Pakistan,” he said.
