Ponting calls Shakib Bangladesh’s ‘danger man’

There’s no denying the fact that Bangladesh possesses an enterprising all-rounder in the form of Shakib Al Hasan. For a long period of time, the veteran cricketer has contributed valiantly in all the three departments of the game and intends to do the same in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament.

Recently, the 32-year old was lionized by former Australian captain Ricky Ponting who decoded the quality of Shakib. The legendary cricketer opined that the Bangladeshi veteran has immense skills in all the three departments of the game. Moreover, the 44-year old reiterated that Shakib carries a plethora of experience by playing in different leagues of the world which would aid Bangladesh tackle the precarious moments in the forthcoming mega-event.

Highlighting the value the Jessore born adds to Bangladesh’s unit, Ponting added, “My danger man for Bangladesh is Shakib Al Hasan. He has been there for a long time and scores in almost all the directions. Coming to his bowling, he is different to other spinners and carries a bunch of tricks to outfox the batters.”
