Former Pakistan captain, Shahid Afridi believes that the World Cup is the best opportunity for youngsters to become superstars as any player can become a hero by doing well at a big stage like the ICC World Cup.
The flamboyant all-rounder stated that he wants all the players to give their 100 per cent while playing with their hearts out and forget about the results.
“Everyone wants Pakistan to do well, we will be playing against different teams in the World Cup, so we will have our chances. After inclusion of experienced Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Aamir and return of Shadab Khan, there’s no excuse left in the bowling department,” he said.
‘Boom Boom’ also rued the lack of a genuine all-rounder in Pakistan’s team and believes that Imad Wasim and Faheem Ashraf haven’t been able to fill the gap left by Abdul Razzaq.
